With this application, heart rate measurement is made convenient. Upon pressing the "start" button, the average heart rate will be indicated in the uppermost frame, while tapping the "heart" button at each heartbeat. The heart rate from the last beat will be shown in the second frame from the top.
During exercise intensity measurement (add-on feature), the screen transitions to a darker hue, displaying exercise intensity in the same second frame from the top.
The app offers two methods for calculating exercise intensity:
- Karvonen Method: Exercise intensity is calculated by taking 0% for resting heart rate and 100% for maximum heart rate.
- Zero to Peak Method: Exercise intensity is determined by assigning 0% to a heart rate of 0 bpm and 100% to the maximum heart rate.
It is essential to note that the default values for resting heart rate and exercise intensity, which are derived from age and sex, should be viewed as general guidance only.
